Raul Govea Peralta or better known as Raulgope was born in Mexico City in the last quarter of the XX century but lives and works in Poland since 2006. He is a self-taught artist, specialized in oil painting and occasionally uses acrylics, among other techniques are graphics and paints murals using the old technique of frescos. He has had exhibitions in such cities as San Luis Potosi – Mexico, Łódź – Poland, Vienna – Austria, Atyrau – Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Warsaw – Poland. Some of his paintings are in private collections in countries such as Japan, Spain, France, England, Mexico, Italy, USA, Poland just to mention a few. Raul paints acts, portraits, dead nature, architecture. His main topic or theme are flying cows in a surrealistic way. Lately Raul has been working lately on the portraits of the well known Frida Kahlo.

Art for you is?
Art has no boundaries or limits, each of us appreciate things in a different way, therefore art is creating an element (painting, sculpture, a piece of cloth, etc) to awake feelings on other people.

In my family the closest relative who also paints will be the sister of my grandmother on my mother’s side.

Photografy is catching a moment and make it perpetous.
You would describe your style as?
I do not have found yet my style.
What color is your art?
The colours I use are live, but at some moment you kind find the whole colous of the palette.
Am I good at…?
I am good in having the patience to sit for hours and be lost while painting forgetting what is going on around me.
I have an appetite for…?
I have apettite to create new pieces of art.
What main feature of your artistic personality allows you to create?
Optimistic
Your favorite artist is?
Vincent Van Gogh
What era do you belong to? Do you have your storytelling?
I belong to the era where the technology wasnt so developed and people had more physical contact among themselves.

Art is the means of bringing out the feelings.
Your motto in art is?
My motto is „Work hard so one day your signiature will become an autograph”
Your approach to the public? Are you afraid to show your works to the world?
I am not afraid to show my word the the world.

I have met both sides of the balance.

I do not think so.
Do you want to be/or are you already an discovered artist?
I guess I am still on the way of becoming one.

What is success to you?
Success for me means to fullfill certain factors, in captivating the people atention and awaking their feelings. In the economic, the enough to buy canvas and painting to continue creating art and being able to survive in this world.

Does ordinariness stimulate you to work?
Sometimes it does.
Do you feel that your art is depleted by the system?
No.
If you were not an artist, would you be…?
I guess I have always seen myself as an artist.
Humility or audacity? What are you driven by?
I guess both depending on the situations.
What are you better at than others?
If it is about painting is being patience.
Your level of consciousness is inadequate to the expectations of the system?
It is a profound question, but I a am peaceful person that to avoid sour moments I need to be flexible or just to ignore them.
Do you feel like a rejected artist?
No, but for sure not everyone may like my art.
In art I would change…?
Nothing.
What nickname would you like to gain as an artist?
Because of the different topics I paint I have gained so far the „the one of the cows” or „Frido’.
In what role do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
I see myself doing the same thing, creating art.
